Flying the Capitally flag at Good Morning Mississauga!
This morning, our own Stefanie Turner had the honour of speaking at the Mississauga Board of Trade’s Good Morning Mississauga event — a gathering dedicated to celebrating International Women’s Day and the incredible influence of women in business.
The energy in the room was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when leaders, founders, and professionals come together.
A few things worth reflecting on:
Women-owned businesses now represent approximately 18–19% of all businesses in Canada — a number that continues to grow. These companies generate over $90 billion in annual revenue and employ nearly one million Canadians.
Yet access to capital remains one of the most significant barriers to scaling a women-led business.
That’s a gap worth closing.
At Capitally, we work alongside Canadian SMEs — including many women-led companies — to unlock working capital so they can grow, hire, and scale with confidence. Invoice factoring, purchase order financing, and supply chain finance aren’t just financial tools. They’re growth enablers.
Events like this remind us why the work matters.
Congratulations to MBOT for championing this conversation, and well done, Stefanie — we’re proud to have you representing Capitally.
